Grill Me Crazy - Gmc

GMC has an interesting blend of Mexican and Indian food. They have undergone some changes this year. It was okay before in terms of menu but had broken sign and lack of atmosphere as mostly takeaway/delivery services plus their ice-creams. But since August the logo has changed, the signage fixed, inside all done up and many diners once again creating a good atmosphere. I'm not sure if management has changed but staff are good and some changes are still in progress. The original menu items are still available, but added now is Indian fusion food, including popular street food and to the ice-cream range is kulfi, and some other Indian desert choices. And as mentions the combo of Indian and Mexican food like the Indian burrito bowl. I find i am paying a little bit more now for dining here but that is because of the options of foods available especially deserts. Highly recommended place to try in Alice Springs.

The restaurant had no other customers in and only 2 people working, they were very nice and helpful. We ordered the pork and gravy poutine which was average but the pork tasted like canned pork and was very salty. The veg pizza was very cheesy but not many vegetable toppings (only mushrooms, olives and onions) .On the other hand, the sheila burger was by far the best thing we ate, it was amazing. We also ordered a side of chips but the chef nearly forgot to give us that and we had to remind them for the chips. Overall, better food and experience than the other restaurants in Alice Springs, would come again.

Safe and secure restaurant. Parking nearby. Food is delivered promptly. Beef and chicken are halal. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

Burger was delicious and satisfied my hunger, warm and friendly customer service clean restraunt, not expensive. I had a waffle cone Ice cream after dinner which was a nice way to end the night after a meal, various flavours to choose. Overall would recommend and revisit again. It was a Sunday when not much else was open.

What a great discovery!! A true little gem in Alice Springs! Perfect for a shared-style dining experience where you can taste a bit of everything. The place is spotless and well presented, and the staff are cheerful, attentive, and clearly passionate about their work. I’m really glad we decided to give it a try! If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to add some dim lighting to create a warmer atmosphere. just a constructive thought, as it didn’t affect my experience at all. Recent new management and overhaul of the menu - important not to get stuck on poor past reviews. This place is a hidden gem! My friends and I had the naan tacos and they were so good!! Flaky perfect roti, generous butter paneer filling with fresh crunchy salad. Didn't take long to arrive at the table, the longest part is reading the very long menu and deciding what to order! Friendly service as well. I can't wait to come back!

The place is very clean, great vibes, great music, and great drinks. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a genuine, Indian/Mexican experience. Genuine Indian/Mexican flavours. Desert was fantastic too.
